This is connected to Rios in that it's another Blue Jays player going on the DL with staph. From Yahoo:
Jul 15 The Associated Press reports Toronto Blue Jays P Ty Taubenheim (staph infection) has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with staph infection in his left foot. He is the second Blue Jays player to contract a staph infection after OF Alex Rios (leg) suffered one in his lower left leg in late June. The team worked with health inspectors to ensure the Blue Jays' home clubhouse was not the source. After the inspection, the clubhouse was disinfected as a precaution. Team spokesman Jay Stenhouse said the " clubhouse was absolutely not the source of the infection."

whoops, meant to post this one!

Jul 19 Jordan Bastian, of Toronto.BlueJays.MLB.com, reports Toronto Blue Jays OF Alex Rios (leg) is still a few days away from returning and the team will need to see him run without any discomfort before he can come off the disabled list.

Rios started his rehab assignment for AAA Syracuse yesterday.

link
Rios had one single and popped out twice in three at-bats before being replaced in the eighth inning in Monday's 4-3 loss in Buffalo.

Hopefully things go well and he can come back early! I need him right now!
