Deserved lack of Love this year for Marcus Giles ... in case you haven't noticed, he's heating up. 10-game hitting streak going during which he has poped 3 HRs. Back on pace for 13-13 -- a little surge and he could be useful again.
Yeah looks like he could go 15/15, maybe raise his average around .290, he'll score 100 runs. Those are very good numbers for a 2B, but so far he's been a huge disappointment. Hopefully now is when he turns it around.

If he goes .290, 15/15, with 100 runs, I will cream my pants.

no way his BA goes from 249-290.. 265 with 12 homers and 12 sbs is more reasonable.. and 85-90 runs..

Ew, those are terrible finishing numbers. I'm gonna guess he goes 13/14 with 90 runs and a .275 average. Still a bad value for his ADP.
marcus is a complete dud, he is not an awful player but not 3 or 4th round second baseman he was projected to be. Like teixeira , they both are not playing like early round players. Pressure got to them

He has 53 runs right now after hitting in the .240's the whole first half. If he gets 32 runs in the 2nd half, he'll have to hit about .190.
The only category that he is slumping is his BA. Everything else has improved, or stayed the same:
bb/k 2005: .59
bb/k 2006: .75
HR/F 2005: 8.1%
HR/F 2006: 7.7%
LD% 2005: 19.2
LD% 2006: 20.3
BA/RISP 2005: .291
BA/RISP 2006: .309
BABIP 2005: .337 BABIP 2006: .287
Another plus is that he's still hitting in the leadoff spot, even after this slump, so he shouldn't be in too much danger of being dropped down.
I don't want to hear it... I nursed him for nearly the entire season till 3 weeks ago waiting for a rebound and finally bit the bullet and traded away a great pitcher to shore up my Middle infield... If Giles takes off and makes that trade unnecesary, I'll be pissed.
I've been dragging Giles along all year waiting for him to turn it on. About a week ago I picked up Chris Burke, who has been horrible this week, but at least Giles is starting to pick it up. I seem to always draft Giles only to be dissapointed, when will I learn. Brian's stinking it up for me too, but I like reading that he is disappointed and thinks he will turn it around soon.
