Many people are saying this guy is a mirror image of michael young. His numbers are pretty good for his 45 games played this year 331 20 7 26. I personally like the guy alot and think big things of him for the rest of the year, but I'd like to hear some other opinons on his 2nd half or if you guys believe in him. Is Ian the real deal?

He was a true under the radar type in the minors. I dropped Giles for Kinsler a while ago and have been extremely happy with the results. He is now hitting sixth in the Texas lineup and I am looking for a very productive second half from him.
If by real deal you mean Micheal Young, he is not there yet, but can be an extremely productive player who has 2B and SS eligibility in most Yahoo leagues.
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today
arlington is not that great for right handed pull hitters (which he is).
and yes i like him a lot. i doubt hes going to finish over 300(maybey though), but i bet once the year is done he will be around .290, with homeruns/rbis that would have been on pace for maybey 23/95 or something if it was a full season. A solid fantasy 2b as a rookie. If he ever puts on some more weight his power could go up, because he definitely puts a homerun swing on a lot of pitches.
I wish showalter would let him steal a few more bases though.
Better leave him in the 6th spot in the order to. Unless derosa/gmj falls off a cliff then he could be 2 spot or something.
i also really liked how quickly ian got out of his slump. he slumped for like a week or 10 days, and then over the next week he completely erased all the slump stats by going like 16/33 or something.
for a quick check of minor league stats i always just go to the cbs sportsline bio for them, since minor league stats are at the bottom of the page there.

I don't think I'd go that far...Sickels had him as high as the #3 prospect in the Rangers system after his breakout 2004, which would have made him their top hitter.
Of course, you are probably right about the under the radar statement, in that he would have been #2 on the depth chart behind Soriano
