The real concern is the possibility of having Phillips play SS and Freel play 2b. Phillips was a SS on his way up through the minors if I'm not mistaken. If Lopez keeps struggling, this could be the move.

He's back in the lineup today but batting #6. I wonder how that will affect his SB numbers? :-?

yeah, i'm counting on lopez and ichiro for my SBs and neither has been stealing much lately...lopez is barely hitting these days, too. derosa has been occupying my SS spot recently (not against liriano/santana, tough)...

All of this makes no sense. He's not slumping horribly and he's still getting on base, so why bump him to the 6th spot? :-?

I agree with oopah about it but looks like things are going well today so far.

Lopez is backk in the 2nd spot and Dunn is batting cleanup. It's been a while since I've seen this. I only hope they can do some damage today.

Lopez went 0/1 in his first effort but got on base and stole second. This is a big improvement - he just leveled the SB cat for me. ;-D

Part of the problem is that they've got too many players who deserve more playing time. They've got Aurilia playing everywhere in the infield, Encarnacian is back, they want Freel in the line-up as much as possible, Phillips may start seeing time at SS and to top it off, they've got three solid catchers. They need to start making some deals.

Another issue is the batting order. Other than Dunn, Kearns and Griffey going some combo of 3-4-5 and the catchers batting eighth, everybody else has been thrown into various spots in the line-up.......
