Piniero blows so I do not see why it would matter much. It would be trading trash for trash.

per CBS news
News: The New York Post reports that Shawn Chacon might be traded to Seattle, now that he has been banished to the bullpen. In exchange for Chacon, the Yankees would pick up starter Joel Pineiro. The Mariners have a scout watching the Yankees. "I am making calls but there is nothing close," general manager Brian Cashman said.
Analysis: Chacon would likely do well with a change of scenery, much like he did last season when he came over from Colorado. Chacon is 4-3 with a 6.71 ERA and has given up 66 hits in 53 2/3 innings. Pineiro would also do well with a change of address. Pineiro, 27, is 6-7 with a 5.86 ERA. But he has five up 25 hits and 14 earned runs in 15 1/3 innings in his past four games.

Haha, yeah, take a pitcher who can't keep his ERA down in a big pitchers park and move him to New York. That'll help.
