It was mostly topping out at 91, but he was hitting his spots, changing speeds and locations... The two semer had good movement in to the righties. He was using that all night to hit the corners.

THis ump was definitely a pitchers ump which helped since Bartolo was trying to nibble the corners anyway, but he was friendly to the Mariner's pitchers too. It almost seemed like the Ump had to be somewhere later that night.

Hmm. I watched him last night and he got no where near 95 mph on his pitches. If that particular pitch that you're talking about got hit, the radar gun was probably distorted..

The radar gun is always distorted. It registers different in every park. If you trust a radar gun, then you don't know much about baseball.....

I don't see why people were all worked up about him. You don't go from being a cy young winner to garbage. I understand he had a lot of run support last year but regardless he's a very good pitcher. He may be a bit overweight. I'm saying this and I don't own him in my team nor have I ever....just saying from what I've seen and what I've read on these forums.

Remember, it could be could have started livan hernandez over the past month!!!!

Huh? Dude, he won the cy young last year. Pick him up. 8-o

haha.. i think hes definetly worth a roster spot.. even if he doesnt end up being the spectacluar pitcher that your hoping him to be
