The popular pick is probably betancourt, but if you watch Carmona pitch, its closer stuff.. he reaches 98 and then pops a nasty slider, he twisted arod around on 3 pitches in his last game. My guts tellin me hes gonna be this years turnbow, similar stuff...

you guys are basing all this carmona stuff on one article that was speculation...He may be the choice but remember carmona is young and he may not get the 1st shot...

that article is per Yahoo! The Wire and usually is very accurate, it helped me land Otsuka in a semi-similar situation when FCordero was struggling...So for ppl. liek me w/ mediocre closers, I think taking the chance that Carmona will get the job is a slight risk @ worst....

i agree, i was just saying that i wouldnt dump a closer who has his job now for carmona who may or may not get the job. just tempering expectations a little

In case you haven't noticed, Rodney hasn't been himself lately and has been passed by Zumaya as the main set up man.

Ya but that being said I would definitely drop a guy like Jorge Sosa whos been erratic all year and won the Braves job only by default for the possiblility of gaining the closer for one of the best teams in baseball. Seems like a very safe risk to me.
