Anyone else hearing that Carmona will be getting save chances with Wickman unavailable and potentially traded? Or am I alone on this one? If this is the case, I think Carmona would be a decent pickup for some cheap saves, and the kid's got one hell of an arm and could keep the job with some early success. Thoughts?

I read a couple of hours ago that Wickman will be unavailable for the next week for a reason unknown to me and that Manager Eric Wedge is probably giving Carmona the ball in the 9th. I'm just speculating that if Carmona flashes brilliance he can potentially earn the job, especially is Wickman winds up getting dealt.

I read it on a Yahoo! article.

Here's the link for ya. It's down almost at the bottom.
Ya think dropping Rodney for Carmona now rather than waiting and risking someone else pouncing is a good idea? Rodney has been scaring me lately anyway.

Simple:

Coffey, Sosa or Carmona????
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today

If that's OK

And I can go on, and on, and on...

But who cares?

Looking Deep
Fausto Carmona, RP, Indians – If you're looking for a saves sleeper – and who isn't, really – here's a name you can probably snag right now in the vast majority of leagues. Carmona is currently the No. 2 guy in the Cleveland bullpen, and Eric Wedge is going to give him the ninth inning this week while Bob Wickman is not available. And with Wickman struggling, a subject of trade rumors, and somewhat ancient besides, it wouldn't be a shock to see Carmona close for the Tribe in the second half of the year. Full disclosure, I haven't seen any of Carmona's outings live the past three weeks, but I like most of what the numbers say (8.2 innings, two runs, nine strikeouts, albeit with five walks), and I've received some good reports from my Cleveland guy. Bottom line, if he's on board, I'm on board. Get familiar with Carmona. Last Updated: 7/5
