What's everyones take on Gordon? I've heard a lot of comparisons to David Wright, I've heard comparisons to Scott Rolen - I've seen him play a few times and all the kid does is mash. Seems like a baseball player to me. Is his upside really David Wright? He can run, rake to all fields, good eye, gold glove defense.

Yeah, I did a little write up earlier wiith him and Tex ... mostly due to their very similiar stats and they were easy to compare (both power hitting 3B out of college at the time). Anyways since Gordon brings the SB potential into play, it looks more like Wright iis the best comparison at this point. Though I can see Wright always hitting for a better average then Gordon.

So far this year Gordon is averaging a K per 5.25 AB....that's not bad at all. Are you confusing him with Brandon Wood?

For reference (since hybrid brought him up), in Mark Teixeira's run through AA ball, he averaged a K per 4.75 AB.
