The return of Peralta?

Postby seniorpaul » Wed Jul 05, 2006 11:34 am

Is it safe to onee again plug Peralta back into lineups? Over the past month he's raised his average from .236 to .252, be's been moved back to the 3 spot in the lineup, and he's shown some power (highlighted last night be his 2 HR game against the NYY).

His numbers over the last month look good: 28/97 19R, 4 HR, 13 RBI and a .289 avg. and hasn't had back to back hitless games since mid june.

I sure hope so, as he has a long ways to go to get to the numbers I thought he would produce this year. ;-D

I put him back in since his 3-4 outing against the yanks last time they faced. He has done a decent job since then. I would expect a big half from him coming up.

I think he'll settle in for a nice 2nd half. It's obvious from his stats over the past month that he's battled through his early season struggles. I'd figure a ~ .285 AVG with 10 HRs and solid RBI/run production in the 2nd half would be a reasonable expectation. ;-D

.265 22 HR's 90 RBI's

I'm thinking somewhere around there. He seems like he's finally out of that horrid slump. I'd expect some consistent production from here on out.

Knock on wood.
