Because the D-Backs are still in the division race, they won't make big changes like that. Too much risk, especially since Drew isn't raking.

from kffl:

Jul 5 Ken Rosenthal, of FOXSports.com, reports the Arizona Diamondbacks could be looking to trade OF Shawn Green, IF Craig Counsell and SP Miguel Batista in an effort to get some younger players playing time. OF Carlos Quentin has played well at Double-A Tucson, he currently has a .415 on-base percentage, and the Diamondbacks could bring him up to give him some experience at the major league level. The same goes for SS Stephen Drew, who could replace SS Craig Counsell, who is batting just .198 since Thursday, June 1. Batista is a pitcher that many teams feel could be a potent set-up man, as he has closed in the past for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Reported on the D'Back game tonight that Drew has homered in his last 3 games. As the Diamondbacks continue to fade, a change would seem to be necessary. I expect something to happen over the allstar break. As to weather Drew is a part of it or not I don't know.

D-Backs are seeming to fade, but they're still in the hunt for the West without a doubt. Someone in that division is going to put together a string of wins here soon.

It AIN'T going to happen with Counsel at SS. They need to unload him and call up Drew. Gonzo is horrible, too. Guarantee that making a BIG change like Drew and Quentin up couldn't possibly be a drop off from the horrendous numbers Counsel and Gonzo are putting up.....
