On a pop to shallow left, Floyd and Reyes collided and Floyd took Reyes' knee to his head.

I dropped him back at the beginning of May and haven't looked back. He sat on the wire for a couple of weeks and another owner picked him up and held him for a month before dropping him. He now sits on the wire with no takers.

I mean, it's halfway through the season and this is all he has done:

.240 - 6 HR - 19 RBI - 26 Runs - 5 SB

I know he has been injured, but really hasn't missed enough time to explain those numbers. In a 12-team mixed league there is too much talent on the wire to live with Floyd.

Floyd is what I call a 2fer... He's streaky, and often injured... but when he's on a streak, he can really mash, espeically righties, and one of the few power guys who can steal. If you have the extra roster slot, it can pay to hold on to him for his streaks.

If he can can get hot with the Mets lineup this year, WOW, he could rack up some RBIs fast.

Floyd should be OK for tomorrow, but he's kind of a wimpy clutz.

His bat should be quite valuable in the 2nd half

Floyd should be in those AFLAC commercials as often as he gets dinged.

I agree with everyone that Floyd has sucked in the FIRST half. I'm predicting a HUGE turnaround in the second half. This guy is better than what he's currently hitting.

Could end up like this :-

273 AVG, 26 HR, 78 RBI, 70 RUNS, 12 SB

ehhh i'll prove you guys wrong ;-D

Ted Williams' frozen head has a better chance of up putting up those numbers in the second half of '06 than does Cliff Floyd.

Take a look at the numbers, guys. He's not a second half player. Never has been.

Sometimes guys just have bad years.
