The Tigers are definitely looking like one of the worst teams of all time. They are pushing for the record of most losses in a season. Funny thing is, a lot of people in my area actually want them to set the record based on some polls that have been done by local news.
That, and the possiblity of 2, 20 game losers on the same team.
I really do feel sorry for the Tigers fans this year.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
how does a team go about being so bad? I know they have some bad contracts now, but a non-expansion team with a record this bad has really got to try... Is Rachel Phelps running this team?
The problems of the Tigers are so deep right now, the only person whom you can really blame is Mike Ilitch, the owner. Sure, Dombrowski makes many player decisions, but he is held back by Ilitch. Anyways, all Tiger fans can hope for is to get lucky at the minor league level, and that doesn't look too likely right now. As far as we're concerned about the Tigers this season in my area, it's football season.
By the way, yet another step towards the record with that extra inning loss to the Texas Rangers.
That's 31 wins, 92 losses. Tigers are 19 games behind the next worse team in the AL, the Devil Rays.
100 losses before September 1 (currently at 101 as I post)! What a season! At least they've started to hit a little bit, but their pitching went down the toilet. Still on pace to make history.
And the thing is Bonderman is a decent pitcher despite his record...He has good stuff...If he goes to a decent team in the off season, I would look for him as a sleeper pick next year...

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
Bonderman survived another start. Lol. Now to see if Maroth can avoid a loss.

Bonderman is tired out. It gives them an excuse to not have to start him too often the rest of the way if at all. It's probably best that way. It doesn't look like Maroth will get off that easy, but we'll see.
They're fighting the losing record by having a 3 game winning streak. Looks as if they may win 40 this season.
