Buying Autographed Baseball stuff off ebay....

Would you guys buy stuff off ebay of players? Signed balls etc? Seems to me that some of the stuff is pretty legitimate. Anyone ever had any bad experiences/heard anything?

i'm a big believer in eBay, but unless you can link this stuff with a store or something and can get all the aunthenticty stuff, don't bother.

Not that I know of, which stinks because I've gotten most of my autographs (RJ, Ortiz, Tejada, Peavy, Chavez, Harden, and plenty more) live in person before a game.

I think taking a picture counts, but I'm not 100% sure since I don't really buy or sell autos.

I wouldn't trust it unless the COA was from someone reputable like Upper Deck, and/or it had the hologram seal on it from whichever sport.

I know a guy who knew a guy in college who used to forge autograph's and COA's and sell them on eBay.

Agreed. I got a COA from a store in the mall and they misspelled the name. I had to go back. I would recommend buying from a reputable dealer, researching the auto to make sure that it looks good, and getting a good COA.
