Jacque Jones is playing like an all-star

Postby A's » Mon Jul 03, 2006 11:31 pm

Jacque Jones has been playing really solid after his early season slump, and with D. Lee coming back and A-ram been hitting good for weeks. Jacque Jones will get good numbers hitting behind A-ram.
Bottomline is the cubs offense is really good now. With Pierre, Barrett, D. Lee, A. Ramirez, J. Jones.

Doesn't it look good ?

Jones is quite streaky.

He makes for a good 4th or 5th OF to plug in at utility when he's on fire.

I do agree that the situation around him has gotten much better, and I think he will continue to put up solid #'s.

The Cubs offense has the same problem as Jones. It doesn't walk and strikes out way too much making both very streaky.

and they don't hit well with runners in scoring position.

jones is a decent #4 OF option, but I wouldn't want to have to rely on him as a starter.
