Will the Tigers win the AL Central?

Postby Jimboozie » Mon Jul 03, 2006 7:51 pm

I have been patiently waiting for the Tigers to go on a losing streak so the White Sox can pass them up. What is going on?

Do all you baseball diehards see the Tigers having as good a second half as first?

Can the Tigers pitching staff continue their great play or do you think they are flukies?

I think the Chicago will take the division again.

I think the Tigers will have a very good 2nd half, but in the end Chicago overcomes them with the division title.

White Sox should win the division easily. They're only several games back right now, and they have a much higher overall talent level than the Tigers, especially now with Thome in that lineup.

Tigers are very good

Look at their rotation:

Bonderman
Verlander
K Rogers
Robertson
Miner/Maroth

Look at thier lineup:
Granderson
Polanco
IRod
Ordonez
Guillen
Thames
Shelton
Inge
Monroe/Dmitri Young/trade deadline DH

That is a solid team - top to bottom

Off the list, where they belong.

I think they're gonna make a late charge, fueled by Reggie Sanders and Mark Grudzielanek.

It has to be the Royals. They were 10-5 over their last 15 before tonight's blown save. Look for Mike Sweeney to make a triumphant return from his back injury to return this team to their World Series glory.
