FBC All-Star Team vs. Fan Balloting All-Star Team

Postby bigken117 » Sun Jul 02, 2006 11:45 pm

The FBC All-Star as voted on by you (hopefully) and the actual starters as voted on by the ballot box stuffers ;-D
FBC vote % listed for both...

Code: Select all
FBC All-Star AL           Actual All-Star AL
C - Joe Mauer 83%         Ivan Rodriguez 1.4%
1B- Travis Hafner 38.5%   David Ortiz 26.7%
2B- Jose Lopez 35.5%      Mark Loretta 12.1%
3B- Alex Rodriguez 44.9%  Alex Rodriguez
SS- Derek Jeter 45.3%     Derek Jeter
OF- Vernon Wells 29.3%    Manny Ramirez 9.5%
OF- Ichiro Suziki 19.8%   Ichiro Suziki
OF- Grady Sizemore 12.1%  Vlad Guerrero 5.2%
SP- Johan Santana 62.5%   TBD

Snub- Francisco Liriano 42.5% TBD

FBC All-Star NL           Actual All-Star NL
C - Brian McCann 46.4%    Paul LoDuca 34.5%
1B- Albert Pujols 54.9%   Albert Pujols
2B- Chase Utley 58.1%     Chase Utley
3B- David Wright 83.8$    David Wright
SS- Jose Reyes 92.2%      Jose Reyes
OF- Carlos Beltran 25.2%  Carlos Beltran
OF- Alfonso Soriano 25.2% Alfonso Soriano
OF- Carlos Lee 17.1%      Jason Bay 10.8%
SP- Tom Glavine 21.7%      TBD

Snub - Nomar Garciaparra 68.9% TBD

The Cafe almost went with popular consensus with the NL, but the AL we voted in a snub as a starter 8-o while the popular real vote went to a guy who got 2 votes out of 141 cast as catcher...

Be sure to keep your eyes open for new polls on the Front Page ;-D

Very good, interesting stuff.

I guess the next question to ask is, which would you guys rather see? The FBC team or the true team?

IMO, I would rather have the FBC vote for all stars from now on rather than the fans at stadiums since I think the players taken by FBC have had the best seasons so far.

Grady Sizemore is not a better player than Manny. Period.

Being an established player is half the battle in getting to the all-star game. When people fill out those ballots, there's probably not any stats they have handy, so they vote for the home-town players and the out-of-towners whose names they recognize.

Wright cant thank Rolen for having 60+ less ABs then him... or Rolen would be well over the top of him in everything minus SBs.
