From rotoworld:
Rich Harden did not respond well to a throwing session on Sunday and will be shut down for a week.
Uh oh. Harden is recovering from a sprained ligament in his right elbow, and threw on the side to test it. "He hurt himself 25 days ago and that's the short edge of ligament healing," trainer Larry Davis said. "It was indication he was not ready to start a throwing program. We'll wait even longer and see what happens." A return in July is now highly unlikely. Harden might require Tommy John surgery at some point

The guy who has him in my league keeps trying to get some pitchers to makeup for Harden. I wonder what his value is now that he could be out for another month.

The A's MLB.com beat writer was interviewed this past Friday on the Prospectus podcast (see iTunes) -- he didn't have much to say about Harden's injury at the time but did note that the A's are known to --and I'm quoting here -- "outright lie" re: pitcher injuries. They see no strategic value in giving out too much information.
So it's hard to read the real Harden situation. But I personally have little faith in his return anytime in the next couple months.
