What's up with Jason Bay leading the national league outfield in votes, Jack Wilson 2nd in ss votes, and Sean Casey in the top 5 for 1st basemen?
I guess props have to go to the fans of Pittsburgh!!!

Not at all. A Brewer fan here.
I guess routing for a small market team makes this seem more impressive.

The Pirates and the Pittsburgh media started a big campaign during May to get Jason Bay into the starting lineup. Obviously it worked.

Bay beat the likes of Beltran and Holliday in AS voting??

Pretty darn good, isn't he?

Even more impressive than Bay getting the start is the huge write-in campaign for Freddy Sanchez. Well over 500,000 votes and I think he finished 4th for all 3b's in the NL. Not bad for not being on the ballot.
I voted over 500 times for both Bay and Sanchez....just tried to do my part.

I voted 213 times for Taylor Hicks and he won. I think my votes put him over the top. J/K.
I'm glad to see the home town making the push to get their big dog into the all star game. I'm sure he'll get the loudest cheers when they introduce him at the game.
