Since June 1, including today, he is hitting .315 with 4 homers and 4 2B, with 16 R and 16 RBI. .364 OBP, .875 OPS.

Not the power threat he was viewed as, but he would probably move to 2B or 1B next year (to make room for Alex Gordon, and there is no one signed at either spot for 2007) and keep his eligibility at 3B. He's a Royal, though, which hurts his fantasy value.

Is he someone to keep an eye on?

I have been keeping an eye on him all year...

Hopeing that he will slump so my prospect Gordon will get called up already :-)

The Royals don't want to start his clock until they feel they have to, so who knows.

God help me. I am seriously considering adding Mark Teahen to my team. Please talk me out of this. Tell me that he will never reach any of his lofty potential and that he'll hit .100 from here on.

Mark Teahen has gone from .185 when he woke up on June 4th to .271 when he wakes up tomorrow morning (+86 points)-- a little over 5 weeks later. He has hit 7 homers and 6 2Bs in those 5 weeks.

Does Mark Teahen not suck anymore?

Oh, and he's out hit A-Rod over the past 30 days-- same # homers (6), one more 2B (5), and a better average.

I don't think he really cares, but maybe. He is kind of stocky, so I'm not sure if he can go vertically and horizontally enough for it. 1B is open next year, though, right (Mientkiewicz, I think, is a FA). Also, do the KC fans love Teahen? Would that be a reason to find a position for him?

Nope, he still sucks. He's on a hot streak, but he still found a way to lose the game on defense last night.

Huber at 1B. I think a lineup of Buck C, Huber 1B, Teahan 2B, Berroa SS, Gordon 3B, Dejesus RF, Gathright CF, Butler RF, & Sweeney DH.

Not a bad lineup, even better if they could free up that Sweeney money.
