He might get a late call up to AA, but there just isn't a need to rush him to AA right now. You might not think it's rushing him, but he has only 300 AB's in High A and the transition to AA can be a pretty big one for minor leaguers. It's better to play it safe, let him get his time in A ball and make sure is he going to make the transition well .... rather them calling him up to AA and not be as sure if he will lose confidence, etc. Also since he has no clear cut position right now it's better to let him play it out right now at the lower levels. The closer you call him up to the majors, they more you have to think about where he is going to play and get him time at that position. Otherwise you might have a case of BJ where they still need work but they can't do it in the majors.
