He never projected to be able to stay at SS so this comes as no surprise. They left him there seemingly to maximize hit bat potential in the rare case that he could handle it down the road.

Hard to say, but it's not bad problem to have. I imagine if Longoria lives up to his talent then Reid could move over to 1B and battle Wes Bankston for that spot.

i heard friedman on the radio the other day saying that longoira is going to play all over the field including 2nd. Do you think they may move canut to third and longoria to 2nd? Is cantu a better 2b or 3b, do you think?

I can see Lorgoria staying at 2nd if he can handle it pretty well over there. Cantu is basically average over there and he would most likely be better defensively at 3B cause he has less range to cover.

Thats what i figured, canut seemed more comfortable at 3rd. Also, do you think upton is going to stay at ss or do you think they will try and move him to the OF like his bro. I think we need to keep him at SS and help him, b/c with Hamilton being reinstated we now have a total glut of OF.

We had a glut of outfielders before Hamiltons reinstatement. Crawford, Baldelli, Young, and Dukes is a plenty and also keep in mind CF may end up being Uptons position as well. Now if Upton does indeed finally master throwing the ball to the first basemen, then our options are alot easier in the future.

I agree we have a glut before josh, but dukes has a problem with his anger and we can only know when he will actually be able to be called up. Maddon and friedman have said they will not call up anyone who is not menatly ready, beating up 2 different teamates doesnt bode well.

Whay hasn't reid been brought up to AA. it looks like he has mastered A+ except for the errors, but that can be worked on AA just as well, and then you can see how he does against the better pitching.
