Haven't checked out their new album yet, although I've heard it's pretty good.

I'm on the same boat here. PJ is not quite my cup of tea anymore, now that I'm a full-fledged heavy metal fan. ;-D

likewise. ;-D
and we're better for it!! :^

Indeed. Muahahahahaha... :-D

Talking about PJ reminds me of Green Day too because as a teenager, I liked both bands. The glory days of Green Day had to be "Dookie" and "Insomniac", but now, I can't stand the sight of Green Day anymore. :-b But yes, I'm in a happy place as a metalhead. ;-D

It bugs the heck out of me when critics/people/whoever say that Nirvana was better than Pearl Jam. Ugh. Just not so.

I liked Soundgarden better than both personally.

I don't think Nirvana is better than Pearl Jam, per se; but they did define the genre.

If Eddie Vedder blew his brains out tomorrow, believe me, Pearl Jam would be on the top of critics lists.

I don't understand the appeal to Pearl Jam anymore. I did when I was a kid - I bought the Mother Love Bone stuff and I bought "Ten," but nowadays I'm lost.

Eddie Vedder seems pretentious.

The lyrics are mediocre.

I hate Veddar's singing voice.

It seems like Pat Boone to Nirvana's Chuck Berry to me. They're fine, I guess, but I just can't get worked up over them.

I wouldn't imagine someone with info in their sig like that would "get worked up" over such great artists of such style.
