Sasaki's Shaky Thursday Outing

Melvin put Sasaki in another "non-pressure" situation last night and he looked very shaky, as his line score attests. 1 inning, 2 hits, 1 run 0 Ks. It could have been worse, but the underlying issue is that his velocity still just isn't there.

This is problematic, of course, for those of us who need to determine by Monday if Sasaki or Hasegawa will be getting saves! I need to dump one of them.

And as Kaz has now pitched 2 nights in a row, the most we can hope for is one more outing this week -- probably not enough for Melvin to make a clear cut decision.

Í've been playing the will he/won't he game for about a month now with Kaz ... and as the seasons roll rapidly toward a close I'm wondering if it's worth just moving on ....

A. Lopez is on the wire in my League. If he gets a save opp this weekend, I'd be tempted to believe that he's "the man" in Toronto and heading in that direction. I'm undecided.
