Mike Williams picked up his first Phillie save tonight, no-hitting the Brewers for a complete inning, but, as is typical, giving up two walks. I feel for you guys, I really do. How he managed to blow only 4 save opps last year is beyond me.

Phils get the wild card, no contest
their pitching is suspect?. Beckett's stuff is NASTY, and he's putting it together this season...he was just on the dl for such a long time. Redman's got a sub 3 era, and I think Willis will be fine, we'll just have to wait and see. Penny and Pavano are good, but sometimes they're inconsistent
how many teams have now seen the d-train for a second time? i haven't really followed his matchups but it would seem that his mechanics are unique and are doing a good job concealing the ball until release (making him a tough guy to adjust to) and he will be able to avoid the "second-time around" syndrome....

the reds (back when there offesne was one of the best) saw him twice in a week....and the mets and cubs saw him twice. He got shelled by the Cubs his second time around, but the game was delayed after an inning for over an hour, so that could of affected him.
