Garrett Atkins is having himself a fine season right now, on pace for a .310, 100, 20, 110, 4 season which is very solid. But the only problem is, Ian Stewart.
Does anyone know who follows the Rockies what they are gonna do with Atkins when Stewart gets called up next year? Could they move him to OF or 2B or are they looking to deal him to another team? Thinking about going after him in my keeper league but wanna know what they are doing with him next before I make my move
Thanks chipper!!!!
There is such a thing called clutch and David Ortiz is the modern day definition of it

Its a big dilehma, and I doubt the Rockies organization knows what it will do yet.
As acs said, Stewart has struggled in AA (injured too) so Stewart might not even be in the big leagues to start next year.
Atkins has performed very well and it would be tough to trade him. I've heard talk of Stewart switching to the OF sometime but Holliday and Hawpe are doing very well in the corner spots and Stewart wouldn't be able to play CF probably. Same thing with 2B, but maybe they'll try and convert him.
Its a dilhema, but a good one to have if you are the Rockies.
