maddux's performance this year certainly hasn't warranted his pickiness considering javvy's performance.

every catcher takes a day off every few days and the braves dont even have to try for the rest of the year so there's no point in risking injuries by going for the big stats.

Catchers need days off anyways, usually about once every five days. Give Maddux a break, I doubt Cox even cares if Maddux wants someone else b/c he would have to sit Lopez anyways.

I'm guessing the same thing that heppened at the end of 2001 for Brett Boone could happen to Javy. The Mariners kept him for a pretty reasonable price because nobody seriously went after him thinking it was just a fluke and someone else would offer him a ridiculous contract.
