every catcher takes a day off every few days and the braves dont even have to try for the rest of the year so there's no point in risking injuries by going for the big stats.

I'm guessing the same thing that heppened at the end of 2001 for Brett Boone could happen to Javy. The Mariners kept him for a pretty reasonable price because nobody seriously went after him thinking it was just a fluke and someone else would offer him a ridiculous contract.
