Anyone who doesn't agree hasn't been paying attention. He has two more homers tonight to take his total to 33, this in many fewer at bats (340) then everyone with that kind of homerun tally, besides Bonds (317 with 37 HRs). He's hitting more HRs per at bat than anyone else in baseball. That includes Sosa, Giambi, Delgado, Pujols, Lowell, Sexson, ARod, Thome, you name it. Also surprising is that the next closest to him in terms of HRs per AB, is a much sharper dropoff from Lopez than Lopez is from Bonds.
This guy is flat out killing the ball. I think it may be time to officialy stamp it. He's legit.
I was worrying about when the next time would be when he would hit 2 HRs in a game again. Its about time Javy!! Gotta be one of the best Free Agent pick ups ever for me!!
I would have to second that remark. He is by far the best fantasy catcher and is the reason many teams are currently in first place. I just hope he isnt another Brady Anderson, because right now I cant justify not keeping him for next year.
I'm sure some people are wondering, as am I, what numbers Javy would put up with more at bats. Seems that Maddux doesnt like the way Javy calls games- so that's a missed start every five games. But i think missing a game every once in a while is good for a catcher. Such a demanding position tires catchers out. I think this helps Javy stay in even better physical condition, but those are just my two cents anyway.

I've been touting Javy on this board all year, even going so far as to call him fantasy MVP about a month ago. As a Catcher? pujols is nice, but javys year could end up being among the greatest offensive years ANY catcher has EVER had. Those Numbers and he misses eveyr fifth day because maddux is a bitch. possibly the biggest bitch ever. Can someone start a Greg Maddux is a bitch thread?
