Seriously, I totally envy you guys that played with future MLB'ers in high schools and college. I was a tiny guy until 15, so I may have been good if I kept playing through high school, but I quit when your own coach was pitching to you. Now that I'm a young adult, I'm totally in to softball. I so wish that I kept playing when I was younger....

There's another level or 2 that might ought to be in the poll - summer leagues played by college players before being signed to the minors and/or independent leagues. Often better than straight college teams.
Not to overly complicate things, but I think there are at least a couple of those types floating around in here.
I played one year of D III college ball. I actually played against a handful of pros in high school/legion ball (most notably Sean Casey and Matt Clement).
Played my whole life up to Junior College ball (Maple Woods Community College) I just missed out on playing with Albert Pujols I actually quit in the middle of my first year there because of buying a new car and needing a job..... and ........ because of a girl...... who is now my wife
I wish I never quit, I'm fairly sure I coulda got on to a DI or DII school after my two years were up with Maple Woods but like I said I ended up quitting
Anyway, I'm 26 now and graduated from DeVry University and I have no regrets.........

Did you play any HS ball in KC?
I played high school ball in Excelsior Springs, about 25 miles north of KC. I played in summer and fall ball leagues in KC though.
