"Annie up" is a poker term meaning your initial bet....by using it the way demo did, he meant give your offering as to what your best deal of the year was...In other words, what was your best bet of the year....
For example...I gave Driefort and Astacio for Verno Wells before the season started....

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
Actually either way is correct...the term started out as "Ante" in the older days...and in slang terms it come up as "Annie"...but both are right...

For the record, I play a ton of poker too, and I've never heard the expression "Annie up," sounds ridiculous. In any case, when you play hold 'em you don't have to use antes... blind bets are much better. Anyhow, sorry, off topic.
In any case, best deals:
I traded Dontrelle and Izzy for Kevin Brown and Esteban Loaiza. I think that was a pretty good one.
I also traded Dontrelle for Eric Chavez a couple of weeks ago, against the recommendation of people on this board, but I went with my gut and so far it's working out.
Chavez for me: 12 R, 4 HR, 16 RBI, .338 avg. and Dontrelle's had a couple of rough outings (I should say a couple of rough 3rd innings).
