Here's an idea for spot starting pitchers.

Start whoever is going up against Roger Clemens. You are sure to get a terrific WHIP and ERA and you have a pretty good chance of getting a win. I would have won a lot of leagues if I started doing this 2 years ago.

btw - Roger's upcoming oponents:

July 3 - Carlos Marmol Cubs - a FA in all redraft leagues
July 8 - Horatio Ramirez Cards - gotta be a FA
maybe July 16 - Ricky Nolasco Marlins

I wonder if it's the "Nolan Ryan" effect. Subconsciously, teams know they don't have to score a lot to win, that or they're too focussed on how the pitcher is doing and not focussing mentally on their game like they usually do.
