Lackey vs. DET safe or not?

Postby warrick95 » Thu Aug 14, 2003 5:39 pm

Lackey has imploded many times this year and has been terrific for other starts. He's imploded against BOS and NYY lately, but they're great offenses. Lackey's completely shut down teams like Oakland. However, he also got killed by Baltimore and his starts against Tampa Bay were mediocre (2 ER and 5 ER). Do y'all think I should pick him up for a spot start against Detroit tomorrow?

Because I'm scared of an implosion of 7 ER, which happens to him often...

Nah, this is at Anaheim.

Actually, Jung Bong and Brandon Puffer were featured on a baseball card together. I wonder who came up with that idea. :-)

Baltimore has a shining offense. Whoever gave them the stigmata of a weak offense has probably ended up regretting it more often than not and the sad thing is they probably think it's only going to happen this time when Baltimore shreds thier pitchers. Then they go out and let their pitchers get shredded again. Poor them. I wouldn't rate Baltimore as a top-top! offense but they're in the top 60% and should be respected.
