0.45 is a significant different, not a slight one, and that is only one hitting stat. Purcey and McGowan are not promising at all, and others outside the organization might think they are, so they are good bait to use before they have no value at all. Then if you get rid of Hinske and Towers's contracts to boot, while only giving up nothings like McGowan and Purcey, and getting a much better middle infielder then Adams, you have done quite well.
