1,000 posts - Miscellaneous ramblings

1,000 posts since November of last year when I found this fantastic resource. Amazing. Anyway, I wasn't 100% sure where to put this, so I figured Leftovers was the right place (plus, it's the first forum I go to every day).

I just want to say how great this place has been. I stumbled across is late last year and I'm now (obviously) quite hooked. Purely from the standpoint of obtaining general news about baseball, this is the first place I would come to look. The contributers here are on the ball and just great.

I was lucky enough to participate in the NL-only mock draft this pre-season, and that was a huge help in prepping for my leagues.

I also love the debate that goes on about anything/everything in the forums. Lots of great stuff and very entertaining.

Without further ado, I'd like to present my top 3 least favorite posts (figure I've seen enough now to make a judgment call):

#3 - "Player X isn't in the line-up tonight, is he hurt?" - I am completely guilty of this one, but it still bugs me. 99% of the time it's a random day off (unless it's Jim Edmonds, then he's hurt).

#2 - "Star Player Y was just dropped, should I pick him up? WHIR" - Come on people...seriously, yes, pick him up. Why are you wasting space here. WHIR is also pretty silly I think, but that's another topic for another day.

#1 - The "fishing for compliments" post - Someone made a trade, and wants it to be validated as great by the rest of the forum. Only people disagree. Then the OP gets all pissy and starts fighting with the responders. Listen, if you don't want peoples' opinions, just don't post. Jag offs.

All in all, I love it here. Hopefully I've helped some of you, some of the time, or at least entertained a bit in my posts.

I agree with you. I love this place too. Helps me make much better informed decisions on players and such.

At that point I was seeing how many posts I could rack up before someone started a milestone thread for me.
