Canada maybe the largest SINGLE supplier but the majority of crude as a whole comes from the Middle East.

Huh - what the h*** has shoes got to do with anything - talk about going off on a tangent - of course most people wouldn't know or even care what the answer was to that question.
The question asked to Americans was what country is the largest supplier of crude oil (not what region or geographic area)and 96% of them gave the wrong answer.

My point is nobody knows what country is #1 for shoes but know that its a certain region that sends them here.

It isn't an indictment of American intelligence, just a question.

So America doesn't know what country supplies the most oil, I bet they don't know which state supplies the most beef something just as essential as the oil that we use on a daily basis. Does that make them dumb?
