Any one know of a decent chatroom server?

Here is my situation, I am a moderator for a music form(1850 members and growing) Some of the other mods think its time to add a chat room to the forum, but have no clue to go about doing this. We use broboard as our webpage server right now if that is any help.

Sigma Chat, or even better set-up an IRC channel.

I can understand the reluctance that most admins have to doing IRC over a more standard chatroom setup, there is a little steeper of a learning curve for people who have never been on one. But for a music-focused user base, having the P2P options that IRC gives out would be worth it.

IRC sounds like the girl you pick up at closing time
