+1 PWB - Pitching with balls - Striking out a guy on three straight fastballs down the middle.

-1 SOCTS - Striking out called third strike

-10 SONS - striking out without ever swinging. cummulative with SOCTS

+5 RATO - Rifle arm throw out - A fielder who throws out a base runner who by all rights should've been safe easily. aka: for us old timers "a Dwight Evans" or "a Barfield" Cummulative with ESPNPOD

+10 HFB - Hustling for a free base, i.e. running to first all out on what should be an easy out but being safe because of bad throw or bobble by the first baseman... aka "an Eckstien"

+10 BBDP - Blatantly breaking up double play with slide far out of the base path.

+10 FWP - Getting a pitcher who's been dealing all game so worried about you stealing that he immediately loses focus and blows the game.

+1 TOFT - Taking one for the team - a pitcher that's getting blown out badly in the first or 2nd inning but stays in and pitches 5 to save the bullpen a little. + 10 if you leave the 5th ahead.

-1 FPODA - Fake play of the day attempt - a fielder who unnecessarily makes an easy play look difficult. -20 if you make an error because of this.

+ 10 CMTKP - Convincing Manager(Not pitching coach) (visiting the mound) to keep you in as pitcher

+10 CMTKPPO - When you pull a CMTKP and you get out of the inning without giving up anymore runs.

-20 CMTKPBG - When you pull a CMTKP and blow the game... aka "pull a Grady Little"

+10 for catcher and pitcher when the pitcher gets a win and Neither of them's first language is English and their first languages are different.... AKA... "a Johjima bueno"

I remember when Roger Cedano did that to Roger Clemens in the 2004 NLCS.
I think it was the sole good thing he ever did for us.
(he also managed to be hitting like .550 career against Clemens for whatever reason).

I think the one for the pitcher that takes a beating should be called "a Marquis"
He has done precisley this in his last two starts.
I guess he isnt well known enough.

Last week our league had a joke b/t the owner who decided to go with "the Marquis experiment" who was playing the owner of Mark Mulder.
