It has been a while.
You and an opponent are at opposite ends of a football field. You get to choose first. Which weapon will it be.

Easy choice. You get five swipes with a sword for every one with the chainsaw, or at best two to one if it's a really light chainsaw.

Give me a sword and my opponent a chainsaw and I'll take him down 10 out of 10 times. ;-D

I'll take a chainsaw. One hit with that baby and you're done. You get slashed by a sword on the leg or something you could still have a chance depending on the hit. You make contact with the chainsaw and it's cutting through the guy.

Not only that, but a quick swipe from a sword will cause just as much damage as a slow hit from a chainsaw.

I'd take the sword but if you block the sword with the chain running I have to think there is a good chance it knocks it out of the other guys hand.

What kind of sword? A big honkin 2 hander, a bastard sword, a broad sword, a nice long sword, a flimsy rapier, a little short sword or a useless epee? I need more info.
