You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...

ACS, this is what you need. Chrysler is going to market these things here in America later this year, maybe later this summer:

We saw tons of these in Paris last year. They're all the rage. They're so small you can pull straight in to a curb in parallel parking spots.

Check out their website for pricing. I think they'll sell for under $5K.

Oh yeah everyone had those in Germany when I was there. It might have been a different car but it looked like that. It was acalled a Smartie made by Mercedes Benz.

A lot of people had them because the price of gas in Europe is way worse than here, and the price of a car in general is really expensive. People take out mortgages on cars.

Why would any want a Metro? We own a Corolla and a Protege and both get great mileage and are incredibly reliable.

If you're looking at price, the Toyota Corolla will be cheaper than a Honda Civic. Mazda Proteges are generally affordable. I'd stay away from new Mazdas as they've gone to crap since Ford took them over.

In highschool a friend of mine had a diesel VW Jetta that got 50+ MPG. They might be a little hard to find, but I know they're floating around out there, may be worth looking for.
