Huff to Detroit

I actually think it will help since he's got more pressure in Tampa to produce being that he's one of the main "big bats" in the offense.. He's probably better suited for a #3 or #5 hitter which is perfect in Detroit with Ordonez batting cleanup. With less pressure, I think he'll play better. He's mentioned that the fact that he doesn't know where he'll be playing on a day to day basis does have it's impact on him.

Well, Tampa already made a trade but not with Detroit. Wonder if we'll see this one happening soon as well.

Im guessing he'll go to the angels, just because they're so desperate for hitting now. Im not sure if they'll give up on Kotchman though.

Who knows..

I don't think the Angels will give up Santana for Huff. Where ever he goes, if he goes, I hope he does well.

If they were wise, they'd try to get Huff for Jeff Weaver at this point. Two dramatically underperforming potentially higher value vets. Why not?

Because Jeff Weaver is the kind of guy the D-rays would sign to a minor league deal pre season with heavy incentives if he performed well enough to make the major league team (ala Hideo Nomo and others).

Anyway. Wouldnt work since Jeff makes too much $$ and I'm guess from the Seo trade they're looking for young cheap guys.

Speaking of which, I don't know where I saw it (I think an article on here yesterday) But I could have sworn it said the Mets were interested in reacquiring Seo before he was traded to the D-rays...makes you wonder if the D-rays turn around and trade the Mets Seo and "X"
