Typing in all caps, failing to spell correctly and not even using a question mark really makes people want to answer your question.

The Angels are working some kind of deal to move some guys... That might open up a spot, but at a minimum, I expect Kendrick to to come up and platoon with Kennedy, thinking this might light a fire under Kennedy and improve his play. Once he's here though, Kennedy might win the job real fasy.

Kennedy is gone after this year for sure (last year of contract) and they want Kendrick to get in some plate time this year before he's the full time starter next year. When I don't know, but I suspect before the trade deadline.

The Angels know they need to make moves, and Kendrick's tearing up AAA is not going unnoticed, nor is Kennedy's weak #s.

The Angels and Twins apparently had the same cunning plan this year... "Hey, let's spot the rest of the League 3 months, and THEN, we'll field our best team and show'em how it's done. We'll sneak up on'em"

Well the Twins have started already -- Liriano, Barlett, Kubel etc.. and have made phenomenal strides in the past month. Were it not for the Tigers and White Sox playing out of their minds, they might even be in the race.

The Angels are apparently going to wait a month or so longer before they pounce. Wonder if there will be anything left for them to pounce on?

Never seen a Minor League-rich organization so slavishly committed to obviously washed up vets.

Perfectly said.

Loyalties to the Kingfish, Erstad on one leg, adam kennedy, underperforming Jeff Weaver and at some point Garett Anderson will be close to the living dead. It's over for these guys OVER. They need to trim the fat.

The Twins with the same problem at least finally got the idea, but waiting for Rondell White, Tony Batista, Lohse and Ruben Sierra is going to cost them dearly. Anyone in the rational world think the groups of washed up has beens were going to lead any team to a play off spot. You can slip in one or two guys, maybe in a platoon....but this is an epidemic.

Now if someone can please explain why Doug Mientkwicz is batting 3rd for the Royals ????????? and Huber isnt up, or Teahen isnt in there or Dejesus. They are just as terrible

Yeah, the ANgels have a tendency to hold on to fan favorites who aren't getting it done anymore. I think their terrible play this season has altered their mindset a lot and their about to bring up the kids. Guys like Kennedy, he's just untradeable and playing out his contract. He's gone after this year and will only stay if he's willing to take a lot less and sub for Kendrick.

Garrett Anderson still has some swings in him, but he's got degenerative arthritis and plantar fasciutus and really needs to DH and rest more. Having to play left everyday has added to his physical woes and depressed his #s. When he's fresh though, he still has a decent bat, not the player of three years ago, but not a guy ready for the trash bin either.

Salmon can pinch hit or DH, that's it. It's his last year. The good news is he knows it and isn't drawing a huge salary. Erstadt's been on the DL with Kerry Wood like frequency. The hope is, he can get healthy enough to be a pinch hitter from the left side. Salmon and Erstadt are great clubhouse guys, and might have some value to dispense to the new kids who'll be up shortly.

As soon as little bro Jered showed up, Jeff started pitching well. I think the prospect of his little bro besting hm has lit a fire under him. Jeff's always been off and on, but people forget he had two good years with the Dodgers and there's a value to a #5 guy who can throw 200 plus innings with about a 4.00 ERA, which he did in LA. It saves the bullpen and keeps the team close enough to win quite a few of his starts.

The good news is, the AL West is very close and is anybody's to win and the ANgels have the prospects and SPs to grab some bats to make the difference.
