does anyone know anything? i'm getting this bad feeling that he's not coming back for a while, if at all.

I would highly doubt it if he came back this year. The Rangers don't really want him too, either. They'd rather trot the youngsters out and play "sink or swim". I think Juan would be very happy to sit at home and collect his paycheck.

If you have him, trade him or drop him.

trade him or drop him? dropping him seems awefully radical, at least in my 12 team league. of course, i might agree that it' best to try to trade him while he has some value (seeing as how he has never indicated that he's unlikely to return). anyone else know anything?

As a Ranger fan, I can tell you that he didn't even make the last road trip. Stayed home for it. Even IF he's activated, he won't play much and the Rangers have told him that. Do yourself a favor and move him if you still can.

The Rangers are awaiting word on the MRI exam of both of Juan Gonzalez's calves.
The Rangers can estimate a return for Gonzalez after they evaluate the MRI results. They could also still attempt to trade him, but he has to come off the DL first to be passed through waivers. Source: Dallas Morning News
