Start Sizemore and Burrell over Mench and Baldelli. Pick up either Mora or Beltre and Bench Hillenbrand, drop Lamb.

Pitching: Pettitte and Sabathia are frustrating. Have fun with that. Can't drop any of your pitchers. Best thing to do is ry and trade.

Good luck

I'd say grab A. Reyes and ditch Hildenbrand. No DL I assume for Sheets?

Why in gods name are burrell and sizemore on your bench? Mench couldn't be colder right now, so I think he and Baldelli should sit. And I wouldn't worry about your pitching. You have a couple guys that aren't performing up to par yet, but hang on to them a little longer until the all-star break. If they haven't shown any signs of improvement by then, trade em away.

bench players

Postby jake_harv88 » Mon Jun 26, 2006 10:16 pm

yeah why is sizemore on the bench. I'm just gonna pretend that was a typo. Anyway no one on that FA list will help you with SB. Is Gathright available?? hes gonna get good playing time in KC and although he'll bat around .250 he could steal upwards of 30 bases. I like the Gathright/Bartlett combo, they both compliment each other well. Look into that. I would think about picking up Blanton or Reyes. Blanton was real streaky last year and has put together a couple good starts here and you might be able to capture alot of that hot streak. Reyes is one of the best prospects in baseball and with the injury to Mulder should have a spot from here on out...

I don't know why I didn't start Sizemore, I must have been asleep or something and got on the computer.

A couple notes

Postby FantasyZealot » Tue Jun 27, 2006 1:43 am

Send Broussard, Mench and Lamb to the waiver wire. They are all annoying players who will do incredible things two weeks out of an entire season. Hillenbrand is close to that category as well. You just got past his hot streak and he probably has one left in him, so you can keep him on the bench.

I still don't trust Beltre so forget him. Brandon Inge's power is legit but so is his BA. Mora should be your starting 3b. Burrell should be in the of and obviously so should sizemore, but everyone has already mentioned that.

Blanton is the best pick of the bunch here for pitching. He started rough, but he is a very good pitcher and has been good in the past month. Expect him to continue that trend. If you need a second then Reyes would be the guy.
