Kelvim Escobar coul be ready to break out?

I think their and my basic point is sound. We're not saying he's Schiulling or anything, but if he simply keeps up pitching as he is, and the Angels offense and defense improves (and it certainly can't get much worse), he could get a rack up a lot of wins... Many of his quality starts that have almost all been losses or no decisions could turn into wins, Pretty much the same story with every Angels pitcher this year.

Jered was so fricking on fire not even a bad defense couldn't hold him back. They tried, but he just wouldn't hardly ever allow anybody on base so even when they bobbled it, it didn't hurt them. I don't think I've ever seen a first four starts like that. One game maybe, two rarely, but four straight. It was like watching a man against boys out there. The hitters looked like amateurs. I haven't checked this, but I don't think he ever had 2 men on base.

He gave up 3 ER or less in 6 of those games. His K's aren't where I'd like them to be, but hes a better pitcher than his record indicates. No one is saying he's a #1 starter, but hes a great #4 or #5 guy to have IMO.

Jered Weaver only started 4 games. Had he started more, who knows how the defense would have affected him.

Escobar ready for a breakout? He's more likely to break DOWN than to break OUT.

He WAS a sell-high guy when I traded him off, now he's a drop-now guy. I can't see how he'd have any trade value, especially since he's managed to stay somewhat healthy for so long. He's due for a hangnail DL stint any day now.
