No one seems to be talking about his return. Does anyone know his health status? He has been hitting the ball, but is he 100%?

I am thinking of trading for him, but I don't want to give away my best pitcher (Smoltz) if he isn't healthy or the Expos are going to shut him down since they aren't in a playoff chase.

What is the word on him?

He is batting .360 since his return and has only sat out 1 game. I wouldn't worry.

he's at like 85% i think. he's doin pretty good though. i wouldnt trade him

Apparently sports writers in Montreal have been saying he limps around the locker room badly. He also looks pretty terrible in the field, and is running about as well as Edgar Martinez right now. However, he is hitting and that's all you should care about. Just don't expect any stolen bases for the rest of the year, but the average and power should still be there.

vlad has one SB and at least one caught-stealing so everyone expecting to see a decrease in SB's was right. be content with him smacking the ball all over the place like a superhero for this season.
