Oswalt??

Postby ViperGJG » Wed Aug 13, 2003 12:23 am

Has anyone heard if Oswalt will try to pitch again this season? If so when? And is he even worth holding on to for those 4-5 starts he will get?

I have both Oswalt and Morris on my team and only 1 DL spot so its hurting me to be short a SP.

Thanks

It will be at least September before he comes back, if he comes back at all. In a roto league, you're probably better off cutting bait and getting someone who can help right now. In a h2h league, those 5 starts might be difference makers come playoff time, so I'd hang onto him.

Morris is apparently likely to come off the DL and start Sunday against the Phillies, so you will then have the DL slot for Oswalt. I wouldn't start Morris his first start back though.

coo thanks i just read that about morris os i will make do for the rest of the week. And since i'm in a H2H league you make a good point i'll hold on to Oswalt until i know for sure what is going on.

Good advice. I am in a HTH league and am banking on a little taste before the season ends. So much for a 1st round sleeper. I bet that whatever is available on the WW isn't even close to him.

Yep. That's what I'm doing. I'm in first by a lot of games in a H2H league, so I'm holding on to Roy. Hoping he comes back just in time for playoffs and gives me two solid weeks. We'll see.
