Game 7 of the 1992 NLCS was the toughest loss I've ever witnessed in any sport, far worse than any Steeler playoff loss, including SB XXX. I came very close to smashing my TV. I don't even watch the highlights of that game on ESPN Classic. Are there games you've watched that have had that kind of effect on any of you?

And yes, I agree...infinitely worse than any Steelers loss in my memory.
Sorry about that...it's scarred me for life.

I still remember my dad saying "They've gotta make it interesting" when Pendleton led off with the double. Gross.

Wrong sport but game 7 of the 1993 Stanley Cup semi-finals still stings as a Leafs fan. Gretzky puts a very obvious high-stick in Gilmour's face causing him to bleed. He doesn't get a penalty, the game goes into overtime and guess who scores? Gretzky when he should have been in the box!!
Would have been Toronto - Montreal in finals, too.
As a Jays fan though I have to say I don't have too much to complain about. Maybe the 1987 meltdown but back-to-back World Series Championships more than made up for that.
EDIT: I'm giving up on the angry smiley cause it keeps showing up as a kissy smiley.

I must say that had Bettis' fumble been returned for a touchdown and the Steelers lost to the Colts, I may have had a new #1.

Laettner's game winner against Kentucky in 1992. I can't avoid it either because they show the replay every March Madness.
