Toronto is turning to 25-year-old Kevin Cash to be their everyday catcher, the Toronto Sun reported. "He's going to be our catcher," general manager J.P. Ricciardi said. "Along with Guillermo Quiroz [in Double-A] those are our catchers of the future so it's to our advantage if we start easing him in faster. Tom [Wilson] and Greg [Myers] have done a great job for us but one's 33 and one's 37 and it's pretty evident that we're going in a different direction at some point."

Cash was hitting .270 with eight homers, 37 RBI, and 28 doubles at Triple-A Syracuse. He's not going to match Myers and Wilson's combined production, but he'll put up decent numbers if he can maintain his batting average at the big league level.

The Jays are now saying that they will start Cash at catcher 3-4 times a week. The rest of the starts at catcher will be split between Myers and Wilson, plus Myers will split time at DH with Phelps.
Basically, what this does is makes Cash, Myers, Wilson and Phelps all pretty much useless in fantasy leagues.
