So my girlfriend is on vacation and I moved to a new place and really don't know anyone outside my job (and they are the type that like to keep to themselves). I find myself with a lot of time on my hands and I end up watching a lot of baseball. My question is, when is enough enough? It seems that with basic cable there is at least one game on per day. It sickens me to think that after I get home from work I eat, go to the gym, and then watch a baseball game, eat again, go to bed and repeat Mon-Fri.. But it seems I have notrhing else to do because I can't meet anyone here so I do this a lot. Some people say the more baseball you watch the better, but this is becoming ridiculius, so when is enough really enough?
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
Sounds like you need a good dose of MLB Extra Innings. I watch at least two games a day, which basically drives my girlfriend nuts.
Since I work from home, I especially like Thursdays, when there are usually a bunch of day games on.
I wish there were more games on actually. Besides the Sox, there's only the sporadic ESPN games during the week, and the Braves. But they're all at the same time, so I only get to watch 1 game really.

Enough is enough when you start wishing you should had something else to do.
Unless you're actually enjoying watching all this baseball, and you're worried or feeling guilty about what others would think you should be doing with your time.
I know! You should get off your butt, turn that TV off, and GO TO THE GAME!
For me, I know that I can't get Extra Innings. Unless I want a divorce. During the free preview at the beginning of the year, I was watching basebally for 5 or 6 hours a night, every night. I would be fine if nothing were on TV besides baseball.
For me, I haven't hit a point where I feel like I watch too much.
I try to watch every Red Sox game a week. So that's 1 game for me a day. Then I watch Baseball Tonight, if it's not on at like 12:40 AM... and/or I watch ESPN Sportscenter/ESPNews the following day for highlights. Then, of course, I spend an hour or an hour and a half on the forums for more updated news and discussions.
Go make some new friends and if they have baseball interest, invite them to watch a game. And spend some time with your gf.
