Considering PAXTON Crawford is a nobody and CARL Crawford is a stud, a better headline would've been appropriate. It's like seeing a title "Ortiz in major car crash" and then find out its Jose Ortiz, some chikchen farmer in Arkansas who played with the Cards in the early 90s.
I have Crawford, and I sweated when I saw this thread and the whole TWO SECONDS it took to load, but then I saw it was okay and laughed. No worse than a haunted house at Halloween.
Besides, the OP was completely honest so really anything that might have caused you unrest from this post is completely on you(and me for a moment) for jumping to conclusions.

What is the point of that comparison? We realize what the title of the thread misled us to believe. The point is, it's a joke and as soon as you open the thread you see who it's really about. No big deal.
i own crawford in one league. yes, i was frightened for a second, but now i chuckle. and you can bet i posted it on the message boards for all my leagues
this is the sort of thing you'd expect at an espn message board. the cafe is trying to maintain a little class. is this thread that bad? no. its just taking one step in the wrong direction though. we've had threads like this before. they all get the thumbs down. many get locked, moved, or retitled. its pretty clear that most people dont want this sort of thing here.

No one is really babying, it's just a unnecessary joke that isn't funny even to the slightest extent.
Yup. I mean if it were something like Nick Johnson out with a hang nail or Griffey to miss rest of season with paper cut it would be sort of funny. But not in this case.

Why? What's the difference? Because it's a more "serious" issue? Either way, you open the thread and see the truth. And either way it's no big deal.

Because if you own NJ or Griffey, you are just waiting for the injury report...you expect it. I mean NJ jumped all of 2 inches for a high throw and has been out a week with back problems. No one is depending on these guys. A joke on Crawford getting hurt is not funny in the slightest.
